Coker charge valves

Coker charge valves

(OP)
Does anyone have any experience in specifying coker charge valves?  Currently our client is using Fisher CV500 ball valves, which only last about two weeks.

Any information would be appreciated.

RE: Coker charge valves

I gather that the charge valve that you refer is the switching application just out of the heater where the feed exceeds 900 degree F.  There are at least two suppliers, one automated and one manual.  I do not yet recall the manufacturers but these are special valves for the application.
