Hello,
I'm a newbie with Ansys, and i need few help.
I try to mesh a hollow carbon fiber post with element shell 91 or shell99 and i have the following error message:
Element type is shell 91 wich cannot be used with the VMES command
Meshing of volume aborted
I'm blocked with this error message, do anyone met this problem before.

With the VMESH command, you are asking ANSYS to mesh a VOLUME with the current element type and material attributes. Shell elements are used to mesh AREAS, hence you cannot ask ANSYS to VMESH an area with shells. If you have areas, and you need to mesh these with shells for instance, use the AMESH,p command, pick the area(s) then press ok.
