one way bearing lube
one way bearing lube
(OP)
I have a one way bearing operating directly on a 3/4 inch
shaft (nicely ground) at less then 1000rpm. The load is less than moderate and is subject to slight variations. This load hiccup, as I call it, can cause the one way bearing to slip it's grip. The fix so far is to degrease the bearing and run it dry. Many years ago, at a large copier company that utilized these one ways extensively, they had a lube called Grahms Gold,(I think that was the name). Does anyone have knowledge of a suitable lube for one ways that operate directly on the shafting and facilitates its lock up?

RE: one way bearing lube
Thick grease may retard the roller engagement and may cause individual rollers to slip.
Also imperitive to have the shaft and housings ground to exactly the right size.

you apply to a shaft to cement
or glue the bore in place.
