This amused me:

Quote:

Link Rot
The process by which links on a web page became as obsolete as the sites they're connected to change location or die.
and comes from the site:
http://paul.merton.ox.ac.uk/computing/definitions.html

Lots of other fun stuff here, including some microsoft humour.

Anyone want to suggest some good engineering definitions?

RE: Definitions

To me, pat means point after touchdown. ???

What does it really mean?

Buy a dictionary, keep it nearby and USE it. Webster's New World Dictionary of American English is recommended, and Webster's Collegiate Dictionary.

RE: Definitions

jimbo - PAT has been accepted as point after touchdown, but the official American football term, as defined in the rules, is the "Try."

"A field goal scored on the try is worth 1 point."
