can i export xyz coords to excel

can i export xyz coords to excel

can i export xyz coords to excel

(OP)
Every one,

I really need to find a way to export xyz values of points in my drawing to an excel sheet for the CMM dept Is there any way.

RE: can i export xyz coords to excel

Not that I'm aware of.

You can import them - Insert\Curve\Curve Through XYZ points
There is a Save as but you can only save it as *.sldcrv

How did you get the points in your SW file to begin with?

RE: can i export xyz coords to excel

Check out cmmWorks from www.accumetria.com

from (the City of) Barrie, Ontario.

If everything is going well, you have obviously overlooked something

RE: can i export xyz coords to excel

I actually have to create the points myself.  I put them on surfaces I want the cmm to check.  I found the commands I need to including in the api, selectdata x, selectdatay, and selectdata z. I just don't know how to write code.  Is there somewhere i can get a program body and modify it?

Thanks for your responses

RE: can i export xyz coords to excel

We have some sofware called Hollis, I believe.  It does a great job of sucking in SW files and doing various types of CMM magic on them.
