Flange Proportions

(OP)
Does anyone know if Section 6.10.2.3 (Flange Proportions)of the AASHTO-LRFD 2000 Code is applicable to rolled sections? The reason for asking is that this section only mentions fabricated I-sections. My understanding is that these are plate girders only. Am I correct? Looking forward to your response,

RE: Flange Proportions

It seems so, rolled section are generally compact and thus preclude any check of b/t, which, of course, is a concern with fabricated plate girders.

Thanks Qshake.

RE: Flange Proportions

according with our knowing is not necessary that all rolled beams are compact and then I think that is better check b/t. chapter B, AISC.
