IS THERE A WAY TO LINK TEXT STRINGS.  FOR INSTANCE YOU HAVE A TABLE OF PART NUMBERS THEN THEIR DESCRIPTION.  WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF DEVELOPMENT SO PART NUMBERS ARE CONSTANTLY CHANGING.  SO WOULD THERE BE A WAY TO JUST CHANGE THE PART NUMBER IN THE TABLE THEN MICROSTATION WOULD AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE THE DRAWING WITH THE NEW PART NUMBER?  PLEASE HELP.  I KNOW THIS CAN BE DONE IN AUTOCAD BUT NOT SURE ABOUT MICROSTATION.  IF ANYBODY CAN HELP IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

There is great way to link Microstation to a spread sheet.  It will solve your problem.  Change the spread sheet and the Microsation file changes.  This may take time to explain.  You can email me and we can discuss it.  Cookmg@aes-advengsol.com.

Are you using a database? If so, it looks as if a little Microstation Basic programming might help you out.

There's a bunch of ways to connect to a database in Microstation. What exactly are you trying to acomplish. What are you using for your data? (Spreadsheet, database?)

Later man!
