Thermal Epoxy

Thermal Epoxy

(OP)
Has anyone looked for a top grade thermal epoxy? I need to pot an entire board and a Celeron CPU will be running very hot. This will be the thermal barrier to the heat sink that will sit on top of the entire borad.
Thanks,
Rodney

RE: Thermal Epoxy

Rodney,

The best thermal epoxy specs I've seen are from Shin-Etsu MicroSi http://www.microsi.com/company.html
I suggest you contact them directly since their best stuff doesn't appear to be on their website.

Whatever you do, the gap between the CPU case and the heat sink must be very low.  Even the best thermal epoxies have very poor thermal conductivity when compared to aluminum.
