Is it possible after isolating the projected silhouette edge to hide the part from which it originated?  Thought there was no associativity after isolating projected silhouette.  Can't hide one without the other. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you might be hiding the entire part, or the entire open body. ??  Try it again, and look in the tree to see what is actually being hidden. Also, make sure your in the Wireframe or Surface workbench before you pick stuff to hide.
