RE: Can not disable the walls in photowork rending, please help!
actully, i did everything i can, i spent a few hours with it and included uncheck the check box in the scene set-up page, but the walls still come with it and the check box is still CHECKED!
the pre-view on the scene set-up page is ok. every time after i click the button to change the attributes, the pre-view got updated, than go ahead render again, the rendering just keep same(with the walls).
the color or material is ok, got updated.
i was a software engineer and used work on gui/graphics/cad aplications, for my point of view, the interface of solidworks(at least, in scene set-up page) is not well designed or tested.
i'm very appreciate your help and thanks.

Choose each part of the model and apply materials.
click on the scene icon and choose the last tab - scenery.
change from the 'view' setting to the model setting for the base allignment - you can then choose which plane to use as the 'base' of the scene.
this will activeate the 'base' and 'sides' tabs and you can turn off the top and the sides as you wish.
On the base setting you can change the material for the floor.
Using the 'base size' tab you can alter the width and length of the floor area and you can also change the height that the model is above the floor.
Alternatively, in times of need when all else fails, ignore the scene and add a thin floor or wall as a part drawing into your assembly and mate as usual. The thickness of the material can be set to something like 0.1mm if no thickness is required to be seen. Doing this allows you to get away from rectangular floors and walls and use circles and hexagons etc for more effect.
When all this is done play with the lighting by adding others, adjusting their positions and colour, etc and some nice effects can be gained.

after i used the technique that is in you told me( i put the length = .01 in both wall and base), the base and wall both disappeared.
but i still think the rendering was not updated after i change the attrbutes(compare the pre-view window, was updated).
i appreciate your help alot.

If you click on the render icon the screen will refresh with any new materials and scene - you will not see any changes until you refresh the screen when you are setting up the scenery.
