Sectioning
Sectioning
(OP)
Is it possible to create a 1/4 section within SW2004? With the Section command, it is quite easy to create a 1/2 section (choose a single plane) or 3/4 section (two planes). As I see it, the first section plane makes a full cut and therefore does not permit what I call a 1/4 section.
Also, can someone help clarify something. Back when drawings were done by hand, it seemed that a full section was one that cut thru the entire part. Therefore, I hope I haven't confused anyone by the use of 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 sections above. What is correct?

RE: Sectioning
(I'm assuming you're speaking of Parts and Assemblies instead of Drawings regarding sections.)

Those would be handy. Also, if you could turn off components to be sectioned, that would be nice.

Use the feature scope on an assembly cut. You can choose which parts get cut and which ones don't.
