Allowable contact stress vs hardness for steels

Allowable contact stress vs hardness for steels

Allowable contact stress vs hardness for steels

(OP)
Hi everyone,

Sometime ago, I saw a table that shows the material properties and hardness of the several type steel ( structural carbon steel, quenched and tempered steels etc... ) on the net. It was tabulating the yield stresses, tensile stresses, hardnesses and the allowable contact ( Hertzian ) stresses for large number of materials.

I am now looking for the same table or similar, but can not find it by Google searh engine anymore.

Please let me know the web site or direct me for the similar web sites.

Thanks in advance.

For gear teeth also ISO 6336-5 has a full series of tables for all types of materials
