Steel Flywheel - Ring Gear Interference Fit

Steel Flywheel - Ring Gear Interference Fit

(OP)
I am currently working on the design of a steel flywheel for a customer to replace the dual mass flywheel that is already on their vehicle.

Does anyone know what a 'standard' interference fit for holding a ring gear onto a steel flywheel should be?

Many thanks in advance for your help Guys!

Thanks for the reply Rod. I had looked at that post previously and had wondered if the level of interference would be different for steel/steel and steel/aluminium. The figures in that thread seem a good starting point though.

Once again many thanks!
