Autocad, Arcs

Autocad, Arcs

(OP)
I have recently drawn my mobile out in an orthographic view, and when i close and open autocad, the arcs all go very sharp, eg its no longer a smooth curve, but its still in the same place...
i was wondering how to stop this as its very annoying and everytime i open the phone i have to recurve all the arcs

thanks

RE: Autocad, Arcs

Hi,

You can "_regenall"

Change the values of FACETRAS and test the command "_VIEWRES".

i tryed regenall, but it never worked, at the start a circle i had was a perfect circle, now it has 12 flat sides :S,   what is the other method you said, im not very familiar with autocad. thanks martin

RE: Autocad, Arcs

Martin,
I think You have to set the value of "_VIEWRES" higher. Then You will get a higher precision of Your circles, arcs,.... Press F1 ;)

ok thanks

so what would you recomend, it says between 1 and 10000 or summit...

also u got msn? i would like to talk to you :), my msn is martin_m_123@hotmail.com add me please!

RE: Autocad, Arcs

use 10000

RE: Autocad, Arcs

I wouldnt really worry about recurving the arcs,  Regen should have done it,  The arcs are still there the way you originally drew them and will plot off properly but just change the res if it really bothers you

RE: Autocad, Arcs

Set the "Viewres" higher. Default is like 100. Having to check worksheets for surveying, I can quickly spot errors faster when I can actually see them. So, I set mine at 2,000 generally. It just saves having to regen so much to maintain an accurate visual.
