Pump for oil/water sandy service

(OP)
Hello Everyone!

I need to choose the pump for water/oil sandy service: the blend is to be pumped fro the atmospheric tank - 0.3 m static head to the vessel with 6 barg pressure. The blend contents the significant amount of sand - upto 3%. 80 cub.m/h is the required capacity

can you please advise me the vendor and issues that you think I need to pay attention during a selection process

thanks in advance,
Joisy

RE: Pump for oil/water sandy service

Hi Joisy, can i suggest Forum407, the pump engineering forum? You will get good answers here but may attract more specialist advise in the other forum.
I would also suggest looking at web sites such as http://www.pump-zone.com/, http://www.pumpschool.com/intro/pdtree.htm
http://www.pumportal.com/links/rotating.asp
as these will provide plenty of background to your quest and the answers you may get here or in the pump engineering forum.
