non-stick coating SS x adhesive

non-stick coating SS x adhesive

(OP)
I'm working on a new project for an adhesive manufacturer. Much of the equipment I am replacing is covered in this nasty black layer of glue. The stuff is somewhat water soluable. I noticed that many of the SS tubing parts clean up very well, but the tanks and framework are filty.

What is the best (preferably clear) non-stick coating. OR are the clean tubing parts a function of surface finish?...maybe the nasty black stuff is actually a coating applied on purpose?

I was looking at Wearlon, but this is my first experience with this type of issue.

Thanks for the help.

RE: non-stick coating SS x adhesive

I don't know much about Wearlon, but I have been using and testing a self bonding no stick coating that has excellent release properties.  I currently use it on a hot stamp process and I have found that glue will not stick to it.  You can find this product at www.kiss-cote.com.

Good luck.
