How to use ultrafilter membrane to seperate soybean protein?

How to use ultrafilter membrane to seperate soybean protein?

How to use ultrafilter membrane to seperate soybean protein?

(OP)
I'm a Chinese Engineer. I am now trying to seperate soybean protein with spiral membrane from the solution which dissolves flour of soybean. However, as you know, the spiral membrane is very easily to be polluted and jamed by protein, which is also confirmed by the pilot study. I have tried many different ways but the effect is not so good. I heard that there have been some spiral membrane which specially suitable to resist the protein pollution, please give me information. Any advice on the technological methods for this problem will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

RE: How to use ultrafilter membrane to seperate soybean protein?

Have you tried a ultrafilter? Possibly ceramic. I have heard that is good on protein in other applications

I would contact the New Logic corporation about their Vsep system since i have used it for biomass separation. It resists fouling do to the the vibratory motion of the membrane. Be aware that other dissolved solids, like amine salts and inorganic salts, will also exert their osmotic pressure and will limit the maximum solids content.

I agree wholeheartedly -- New Logic's VSEP is the best filtration system I have ever piloted. Check them out on the Web at http://www.vsep.com.
