RE: No Rise Certificate

I went to the FEMA web site and could not find "no rise certificate", what is it?

RE: No Rise Certificate

No Rise Certificate is required when the new construction occurs in a floodway zone another name for that is Encroacment anlysis and on Fema web site it is LOMR.

I have to show that new construction is not going to affect the 100 year flood elevation.

I have to back it by some hydrologic software as Hec Ras
by plotting the backwater surface profiles for that cross section for existing and proposed condition.

hope this helps
thanks for reply
Sanjay
