Hello All,

Can you open a Catia v5 part (.catpart) in UG NX1 or NX2 not using STEP or IGES. I heard that you may be able.

No... only v4 solids right now. And be aware that (in my brief testing experiences) the process of translating the v4 solid to UG creates a faceted body, not a solid. So... the usefulness of the direct translator remains in question at my customer's location. We still use STP to translate out of Catia V4. Another current drawback is that Catia assemblies are not supported.
