Instrumentation for dye tanks?

Instrumentation for dye tanks?

Instrumentation for dye tanks?

(OP)
I am fairly new to the Controls industry.  I a looking to
measure temperature and tank level for a variety of dyes. Which include Vat, pigment, and sulfurs.  Does anyone have any suggestions on the type of instrumentation that would be durable in this type of environment?  Any suggestions
will be appreciated.  Kevin

RE: Instrumentation for dye tanks?

Depending on the size of your tanks ,using ultrasonic level transmiters would work well for level.Other things to consider are tank temperature, vapors present and pressure in the tank.
Radar systems could also be used as they are also non contact devices. One thing to watch out for in the radar applications is the dielectric of the product in the tank.
For temperature measurements a 100 Ohm platinum RTD is the most common and accurate. You should protect the RTD with a thermowell with suitable metallurgy.

RE: Instrumentation for dye tanks?

What kind of accuracy do you want ? can you give the list
of the materials to be sensed ?
