Another engineer was speaking of a wing when talking about the wings on an airplane. His thought was that some aircraft have a single wing structure instead of wings attached to a fuselage. He mentioned the 747. Surely not. What if any airplanes have a singular wing structure with the fuselage attached.

I have always considered a conventional airplane as having a single wing. A biplane (Pitts Special) has two wings.
