Convert .CATProduct on PC -> .session on workstation

Convert .CATProduct on PC -> .session on workstation

Convert .CATProduct on PC -> .session on workstation

(OP)
I would like to know how I can convert a project in V5  with some .Catpart files to a .session on workstation, when I save the product as .session and copy the files to workstation (.session + .models) the session doesn´t work.

Thanks in advance,

Angelo Matos

Angelo,
Does your Workstation use DLNames? if so then your V5 settings need to be set to allow DLNames and you also need to define the DLNames in the catia V4 integration settings of the tools option window.

How do you find the DL name of the V4 file ?

RE: Convert .CATProduct on PC -> .session on workstation

You need to get that name from your V4 admin. He will tell you the name of the DLNAME (i.e. SESSION).

Then set that name to a directory under tools/options/general//Document

(i.e. DLNAME = SESSION ;  Path= d:\temp\V4session)

After that save your Product as session and copy all files from D:\temp\V4session to the path of the same DLNAME on unix...
