motion control but with a serial characteristic
motion control but with a serial characteristic
(OP)
Need some help:
Problem; high torque positioning application (2000N/M) but need high dynamics (5rad/sec(2)). Only need the high dynamics at low torque.
Standard servomotors get way too big to reach the above or with a high ratio gearbox not dynamic enough.
In principal a traditional serial motor characteristic (like starter motor from a car) would do the trick.
Or the characteristics of a Hydraulically motor.
However the goal is to go electrical.
Who can put me on the right track? All tips and suggestions are welcome.

Had long discusions with Siemens on the subject they can do it but total KW is around 5* the amount I put in the hyrdaulic application making it too expensive to go electrical. I haved looked at torque motors however they are a bid to bulcky. My gut feeling tells me should be possible however until now I can't find the proper sollution.

Nearly used these on a turbine application, but could not get an ATEX certification for the unit. Looked quite promising apart from that 'minor' issue.
