FEA-Impact Analysis

FEA-Impact Analysis

FEA-Impact Analysis

(OP)
I only have access to Ansys Version 5.7.. I am trying to find a way to apply a time varying force, but I am not sure how to do it.  The force is essentially a step input that last for a duration of 1 second.  Any ideas of how to input that?

This is occuring on a flat plate(dimensions in the X-Y direction) while the force is applied to the center of the plate in the z direction.

RE: FEA-Impact Analysis

I do not believe that a "standard" ANSYS can solve any impack! Maybe LS- Dyna...
