Specialty screw that I need help finding a supplier for

Specialty screw that I need help finding a supplier for

(OP)
Okay, let's see if I can tap some brains here and find a supplier for some specialty hardware that I'm trying to find.

I'm looking for a flatted button head cap screw in 1/4-20 x 3/4", black finish.  Finish type doesn't matter for this project as long as it's black.  I'm also looking for the matching washer to this screw.  In the event you only know of someone supplying this screw in head types other than button head cap, please feel free to share that info as well.

If that wasn't clear enough of a description, what I'm looking for is basically a bolt that looks like it was put into a mill and had a flat spot milled down the length of the screw's threads.  Then, it would be rotated 180 degrees so that a second flat, parallel to the first, could be milled.  The washer then has the center hole modified so that it matches the flats on the screw, allowing the screw to be keyed to the washer to prevent the two from rotating relative to each other.

I basically have a stack of washers that should be allowed to rotate relative to everything else in the screw stack, but the two end washers should be indexed to the screw so that both the head of the screw and the nut are isolated from the stack to help prevent loosening of the nut and loss of preload.

Sounds like a special.

You could try Copper State Bolt & Nut in Phoenix, AZ, 1-800-528-4255, mfg@copperstate.com.  The literature I have for them shows 1/2" and up, but depending on how many you need maybe they'd make an exception.

The best chance is to post drawings on www.mfgquote.com and get quotes. The other choice is to use a different locking method. Washers may be available form www.bonkes.com but the screw will be the problem.
