Dimensions in SW 2004 SP2.1, Windows NT4.0 SP 6.0

Dimensions in SW 2004 SP2.1, Windows NT4.0 SP 6.0

Dimensions in SW 2004 SP2.1, Windows NT4.0 SP 6.0

(OP)
SW2004 SP2.1,  Windows NT4.0 SP6.0

Has anybody seen that - it happened to me more than once on different dimensions very recently, after applying SP2.1 - all of a sudden one extension line of a dimension say 5 7/8" (I am talking about DRAWING) jumps to a different part of the dwg (in this case to the center line of the machine) BUT THE VALUE OF THE DIMS REMAINS THE SAME !!!

I find it VERY DANGEROUS!!! Because the dimension now has a totally WRONG value - and the machinist in the shop will machine the part wrongly !!!

I have some suspicion (but only a suspicion) that this is somehow related to the fact that the dimension described above WAS lined up with some other dim via         --->|<---   icon.

Today another dim 71 1/2 jumped to another part of a machine but displayed VALUE  remained at 71 1/2 while the "new" correct distance between parts would be some 900+ ". It also "got" note TYP which was not there (that is when the dim was created last Friday). However the next to it the "horizontally lined up" dim DID have TYP note when created on Friday.

Is it possible that weird dim not only went nuts but additionally "copy" TYP text from the neighboring dim ???

Has anybode seen THAT ?

Any help would be appreciated
