How can I ditribute sismic load when the building has a flexible diaphragm?...I can use sap2000 or Etabs...Help me!

RE: Sismic Load (to distribute)

Before using any program YOU NEED to UNDERSTAND how the structure works! Otherwise you will not know if results are close to be realistic.

You may get "Seismic design of building structures" by Lindenburg and Baradar and "Seismic design of buildings and briges" by Williams on www.ppi2pass.com (see products, seismic review materials).

Or you may find an engineer who will do it for you and take responsibility for his work.

Good luck.

RE: Sismic Load (to distribute)

If I were in your shoes, I'd hire someone to do the design for me...

Please see FAQ731-376 for great suggestions on how to make the best use of Eng-Tips Fora.

RE: Sismic Load (to distribute)

Obtaining a copy of this book will be a very good start if you have an engineering background:

http://www.iccsafe.org/e/prodshow.html?prodid=7020S&sta...

Seismic loads can be a complex matter, involving a complete understanding of loads and load paths; and that would be just a start.

Good Luck.
