(OP)

Dear friends,

Im a young engineer and im actively involved in designing heat exchangers. one of the main obstacles that I face daily is incoporating good and applicaple welding details in the drawings.

Can anybody let me know if there is any good resource for me to learn about welding details especially for pressure vessels.

  Thank You

 regards,

M.J.Vijayan

RE: welding details

MJV:
There are several good reference books (in addition to reviewing ASME Section VIII, Div 1 and Appendices) on 'Pressure Vessel Design and Fabrication" thru Amazon.com or other sources. ASME also has technical publications and on-line or short courses that focus on pressure vessel fabrication. I would visit their web site.

RE: welding details

Start with American Welding Society (AWS )
