Global Propertries Editing ?

Global Propertries Editing ?

Global Propertries Editing ?

(OP)
I would like to know if it's possible to edit parts properties in assy globally.
Let's say I have 100 instances of the part in assy and that part has two configurations A and B.
All the parts have configuration A.
Now I want select some of them from the tree and change their configurations to B in one step.
Is it possible and if I have to create a macro what would it be?
Thank you for any help.
Andrzej

RE: Global Propertries Editing ?

You could achieve this with an assembly design table.

RE: Global Propertries Editing ?

I agree with rockguy. Using a DT would be just as quick as a macro & probably safer as you can more easily read & double check your selections before accepting.

Yes, I could make design table but I do not have different configurations in assy.
All I need is to select several parts from the tree and change their configurations to any selected.
Design Table is great but I think I would need it for different configurations of my assy where parts have particular configurations.

RE: Global Propertries Editing ?

Use Replace to replace it with itself.  Select all the componets you wish to change, you get a second chance if you miss one.  Right Click/Replace.  Clear All instances. Options set to Manually select Configurations. Green Check.  Select Configuration Name. Ok.  Done
