japanese steel tube specs

Extremely hard to find supplier in the US. I have to find DOM tubing as follows:
15.0 mm O.D., 2.25 mm wall, meets Japanese standard
STAM290GA or STAM35G-M.

U.S. suppliers I have contacted don't understand the spec numbers listed.

RE: japanese steel tube specs

You may need to call around extensively for this, I did this google search and found a ton of sites,

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-...

I've found one good way to get specs is to ask your customer for a copy of the spec that they want you to use, Theres usually a copy w/ the buyer or QA manager.

There is likely a reference for the conversion I dont know where it is thou.

You can go to this website for American Spec. and convert if you can get a listing of the Japanese Spec.

Good luck Specs from different countries are hard.

Thank you for the help. I'll give you a star if I am successful with the search.
