(OP)
Hi, I want to use ANSYS 7.0 for an artery model and I need to use an exponential UPF for material properties. (I am not familiar with this territory.) I could not find the directories within ANSYS that the online ansys manuals described for version 5.5 and I am stuck.

I have heard that doing this operation on ANSYS is usually not successful in generating solutions so I would like to have a professional opinion about whether to pursue this option or to abandon it and use one of the models supplied by ANSYS.

A following question to the first one, if I am able to create a working executable file by compiling and linking my UPF to ANSYS, can I revert back to the original version of ANSYS without causing any permanent damage or changes after I'm done using the UPF file?

Thanks very much.
