AutoSketch vs. AutoCAD LT

AutoSketch vs. AutoCAD LT

AutoSketch vs. AutoCAD LT

(OP)
I'm trying to convince my boss to buy me AutoCAD LT.  I've used it before (as well as many full versions of AutoCAD).  He doesn't want to pony up the licensing fee, and wants to buy me AutoSketch.  I've looked at reviews of AutoSketch, and I've seen compelling arguments for and against it.

Has anyone here had any experience with AutoSketch?  Is it worth it, or is it a waste of my time and I should keep pushing for AutoCAD LT?

I'm not going to be designing bridges or anything, mainly just 2D drawings of molds, plates, runner diagrams, etc., but will probably mess around with it after hours or on my lunch break to do some "government jobs".

Sorry I'm adding to this, but I've expanded my search.  Does anyone know of any relatively inexpensive (under $200) CAD or drawing programs that will support .DWG files?  I'm looking at IMSI's TurboCAD family of products, and was just wondering about similarities/differences vs. AutoCAD.  TIA.

RE: AutoSketch vs. AutoCAD LT

I think that a good choice for you can be the Intellicad. You can download it and try it for example from BricsCad, CADopia, Progesoft pages.
