Can instance names be edited in INTRALINK workspace?

Can instance names be edited in INTRALINK workspace?

(OP)
We are using INTRALINK for our Engineers.  Has anyone been able to edit instances for a drawing through editing the name attribute of an instance.  This would allow us to rename instances to a better name scheme so that our engineers can search through the DB on all instance and find them better.  We use a number/letter scheme and most of them don't make a lot of sense when searching on the names of the instances in the company.

It also saves time so that the engineers don't have to go back through ProE to edit instance name/title, if that can be done at all, I'm not even sure, I am an IT guy, not an advanced ProE user.

RE: Can instance names be edited in INTRALINK workspace?

Dear ITGuy,

You will have no problem in renaming the instances fron the intralink itself without opening the part and going t "Family Table". RENAMING through INTRALINK is I think one of the most helpful facility provided.
