Excavated dirt & mud storage challenges!!!

Excavated dirt & mud storage challenges!!!

Excavated dirt & mud storage challenges!!!

(OP)
The majority of the dirt moving is from vacuum excavations to provide trenches for new underground water piping. We do not have enough environmental permitted land on this military base to dump our dirt. I am looking for an alternate solution to temporarily store the mud & dirt. Looking for any possible solution A.S.A.P.

RE: Excavated dirt & mud storage challenges!!!

If the material is to be piped to a disposal location can you construct a containment area by using the materials excavated and then filling in between.  Like a sludge containment pond...

Another method may be to use geotextile tubes to store the materials, however they specific types and consistancies of materials to acheive the required storage.

I would appreciate more information like the types of materials excavated, amounts, constancies, etc..

Thank you Keithe, we are in the process of using an off-site landfill and use dewatering technique.
