Does the D1.6 structural stainles steel welding code address the welding of precipitation hardening stainless?  If not, does anyone know of other codes that might?

Thanks

Hi GRoberts:
The D1.6:1999, subsection 1.2 denotes the use of the following types of SS's: austenitic, ferritic, martensitic, and austenitic, semi-austenitic and martensitic PH stainless steels, and duplex and dissimilar metals applications. Other limitations include:
C less than or equal to 0.5%
Cr equal or greater than 10.5%
Fe exceeding any other single element

Only the austenitic types are prequalified with filler metals that "...normally produce small a amount of ferrite..." per 1.2.2 of the code.
