help with cleaning out temp folder

help with cleaning out temp folder

(OP)
I've seen many recommendatations to "clean out the temp folder"....I went to my temp folder by going to explorer window, hitting "run" and typing %temp% in the search window, which brings up the temp folder.  Is the objective to dump ALL files in the temp folder?  Just clean the whole thing out?  or just the files that have to do with Solidworks?  It seems some of those files have application extensions.....

Having never done this before, just want to make sure I'm proceeding correctly without causing a problem down the line.

Thanks for your help.

John
