I am putting a new Quarter panel on a 2000,gmc piick up.
I need to know what wire size to use.I currently have 023 wire.I am useing Argon gas.Also will 30 wire work as well?

Automotive manufactures in Australia use 1.2 mm wire in the robot welders and 0.9 mm wire for the hand welders with a argon CO2 mix.

Dear collegue

It is very common use with C,S, Shielded Gas as CO2 and Diameters Wires 0.035 & .045" .with S.S use Ar or Ar+02and the same Diameters.
