DWG export and SP2.1

DWG export and SP2.1

DWG export and SP2.1

(OP)
I'm having major scaling/dimensional/text errors when exporting to DWG with some fairly basic drawings (using SP1).  Has anyone else noticed anything like this?  If so, does the new service pack seem to help?

Otherwise, perhaps I misplaced a setting somewhere--but I haven't had this happen before.

Thanks,

RE: DWG export and SP2.1

I was told by my VAR yesterday that SP 2.1 was suppose to address DWG/DXF import and export issues.  Sorry I can't be more specific.

RE: DWG export and SP2.1

It did not make it in SP2.1. Next SP

RE: DWG export and SP2.1

Has anyone heard of this being fixed yet in SW 2004?  The only way I can get the scale to come out right is to select the "options" button under "save as" to verify that the 1:1 scale output button is checked each and every time.  If I don't select the options button each time I export, the scale of the drawing will be wrong even if the 1:1 is checked.  We export .dxf files for sheet metal layouts and sometimes find out too late that a part was made to the wrong scale.

Any information would be appreciated?

Thanks, Jim

RE: DWG export and SP2.1

potter87,

If your problem has to deal with this issue that Theophilus is talking about in the begining of this thread - then below applies.

SP2.1 is still the latest SP out. If it wasn't repaired in SP2.1 before, then it still isn't repaired in SP2.1 now.

If it doesn't, then you need to make a new thread concerning this issue.

For what it's worth--the issue I was concerned with in the orgininal post was fixed with SP 2.1.  Sorry, I probably should have posted back for closure.  This was primarily a dimension/text issue.

For the scaling issue, I simply made the drawings full scale (very huge--120' for one view) and then had no problems after applying SP 2.1 for the other issues I was experiencing.  My VAR told me that everything is 1:1 with AutoCAD, so it doesn't import scaled items according to their scale--best practice is to stick with full scale when you plan to export to ACAD.
