Printing Problems

Printing Problems

Printing Problems

(OP)
1) I have a PC with Windows 2000 that is running IDEAS 8.
2) I do not know IDEAS, I was just shown how to open a file and print.

I was printing away (already having printed about 200 prints) and I think I may have had about 10 files in the printer queue (possibly I overloaded it??).

I opened another file, opened the print dialog box, hit the print button, then the print button and cancel button both grayed out.

No print came out and nothing showed up in the queue.
I couldn't close the print dialog box and everytime I tried to it said "communications are busy, try again later"
None of the icons or menus outside of that dialog box will work, but I can click on stuff within the print dialog box.
The only thing I can click on outside of it is the 'X' in the upper right hand corner of the workspace.
When I do that it says something like I need to use the EXIT command to close the workspace.

So I finally ended up rebooting.
I thought it was that file that was bad, but when I went to print another one (that I had already printed) it did the same thing.
I was able to print a test page from windows, so I'm thinking it has something to do with IDEAS.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?
I would appreciate any help that I can get.

Lori
