Dear All
I want to know some facts about SolidWorks before trying it. Please answer the questions listed below:
1. Is it possible to animate assemblies in this?
2. Can we rotate a part in window without touching mouse or keyboard? (Like flying object in animation)
3. Can we export Pro/E parts and assemblies directly?
4. Can we make export/make directly .avi files from SolidWorks animated file?
Thanks.

>1. Is it possible to animate assemblies in this?

This is getting better with some of the new enhancements such as Cam following. But if you want to do real animations get SW Animator.

>2. Can we rotate a part in window without touching mouse or keyboard? (Like flying object in animation)

If I understand you correctly...No this isn't possible if your not using SW animator.

>3. Can we export Pro/E parts and assemblies directly?

You have to export files out as "Acis, DXF/DWG, Iges, Parasolids, STL, TIFF, VRML, Parasolid Binary, Step". In the help of SW there is a graph showing what SW can import/export and in SP4 it shows that you can import files in from Pro/e, but can't export to Pro/e. I know a lot of people do it though. Probably through one of the options I listed above.

>4. Can we make export/make directly .avi files from SolidWorks animated file?

You need SW Animator add-on package.

Hope that helps,
