Can someone give me example of what a scope looks like for ISO17025?

RE: Need help with the Lab Scope for ISO17025

I recommend searching the web for info on ISO 17025. There is a lot of good info available online.

I attended an ISO/IEC Standards 17020/17025 training course sponsered by ICBO ES (now the ICC ES) and proctored by IANZ two years ago, very informative, very professional. Participation by attendees was encouraged. Certificates are issued to all who attend and another for the exam at the end of each session. I understand passing rate for the exams are about 30 - 40%. (I did pass both exams.)

I think the $ spent is well worth the knowledge gained.

RE: Need help with the Lab Scope for ISO17025

A little late but I've been on the road.

ISO 17025 is the standard used to provide accreditation to laboratories and Panel shops. The format allows the Third Party to assess the quality program in place. A report is developed from ISO 17025 to assess the company requesting accreditation. When conformance is proven through the report an accreditation can be issued.

It's a much smaller scale of an ISO 9000 approval performed in a few small visits to the requesting company.
