Brazing Inconel 600

Brazing Inconel 600

(OP)
I have a application where I am brazing IN-600 using a preform. The brazing preform temperature is 2160 deg. F. I have achieved excellent properties in the preform almost matching the original In-600.

Are there any other precautions I should be aware of by brazing IN-600 at this temperature?

Comments please.

RE: Brazing Inconel 600

Other than being fully annealed with the resultant physical properties the only other major concern is the possibility of grain growth at this temperature.

Watch the atmosphere in the brazing process as there is a slight possibility of "selective oxidation".
