3D-presentation of measurement deviations

3D-presentation of measurement deviations

(OP)
I have a 120x3 matrix, containing the x, y & z coordinates of 120 measurement deviations (measurements with no error have 0,0,0 cordinates). I want to present these results grafically in 3D. I drew lines from each point to (0,0,0), which achieved a hedgehog structure, giving a visual idea of the measurement results. The problem is, that I don't know an appropriate way to display the density of occurences at each point. One may think of isosurfaces, isocaps, contourslices, etc. Anyway, the picture doesn't look very informative. I will appreciate any suggestions.
