Welding aluminum honeycomb sandwich panels?

Welding aluminum honeycomb sandwich panels?

Welding aluminum honeycomb sandwich panels?

(OP)
If I have an aluminum skinned, aluminum honeycomb sandwich panel, can I weld a part to the skin?  I'm not interested in a full length bead, just a few tack beads to locate a support beam.  I'm concerned that the heat of welding (probably GTAW or GMAW) might be deleterious to the adhesive used to bond honeycomb to skin, or possibly warp/melt the honeycomb inside.  Any advice or experience WRT welding metal sandwich panels would be helpful.  TIA.
