Can Microwave Office simulate a 1GHz antenna efficiency?

Can Microwave Office simulate a 1GHz antenna efficiency?

(OP)

Hi all,

I am using Microwave Office to design a 1GHz Monopole Antenna and hope do simulations to find out the efficiency of the antenna. I was wondering if Microwave Office can be used to find the efficiency? If not, are there any other software that is/are appropriate for use?

Thank you.

Josephine

RE: Can Microwave Office simulate a 1GHz antenna efficiency?

Hi,

I don't think that microwave office can be used effectivily for 3D structures. Microwave office is very powerful for layered planar structures like Patch Antenna. In your case you may better use NEC, HFSS or IE3D. You may find the following ling useful: http://www.qsl.net/wb6tpu/swindex.html
