Sheet metal madness

Sheet metal madness

Sheet metal madness

(OP)
A great deal of my time will be spent modeling stainless steel sheet metal assemblies. Due to the varying shrinkage between stainless and mild steel, can I alter the neutral factor within the bend formula to generate a more accurate flat layout DXF? We will be making most parts in-house. Does anyone have any info???

RE: Sheet metal madness

Just have a close look in the directory Solid Edge Vxx\custom\sheetmetal.
Here you will find all the informations you need to customice your own bendtable or your own neutral faktor

RE: Sheet metal madness

In the Sheet Metal environment, select Options on the Tools menu, then select the Part Properties tab on the Option Dialog box. Under the Bend Equation, you can change the Neutral Factor.
Please read Sheet Metal Bend Formulas in SE help for more information on changing the formula or using custom formula.
