Refrigerated Compressed Air Dryers

Refrigerated Compressed Air Dryers

Refrigerated Compressed Air Dryers

(OP)
I'm looking for some recommendations on manufacturers of refrigerated compressed air dryers.  I would be using them on a couple of 800 SCFM, 100 psig oil-free compressors;  looking for the standard 40F dewpoint.  I am familiar with Hankison and Airtek, but was looking for some other options.  I'd appreciate any input from folks who have experience (positive or negative) with other makes.

RE: Refrigerated Compressed Air Dryers

With all the mergers in this industry very few independents are left.
SPX Air Treatment http://www.spxairtreatment.com/ is the big name on the street. They manufacture filters and dryer products under the Airpel, Delair, Deltech, Dollinger, GD Engineering, General Pneumatics, Hankison,Kemp, Pneumatic Products, and Plenty Filter brands.

RE: Refrigerated Compressed Air Dryers

I have used both Sabroe and Domnick Hunter refrigerated air dryers and their performance is very good. Hankison is also good. Generally refrigerated air dryers can give you -250C ADP without any problem. This corresponds to 30C PDP at 10bar (It may be possible to get -40F ADP at this pressure).

As your air pressure is low and also required dryness is high I suggest you to have a second thought on refrigerated air dryers.

I can help you with either Ultra-Air or Air Solutions Group refrigerant dryers - Both are made in the Good Ol' USA. Air Solutions Group is a new division of Lectrodryer and located in Kentucky.
