V-Beam

V-Beam

(OP)
Existing 1936 floor framing specifies the following:

"4-14 V-Beam at 2'-0" oc"

I need to have this floor system support new moveable partitions.  I will need to reinforce this existing V-Beam structure.  I believe these V-Beams to be open-web steel joists.  But, the 60-year SJI manual does not recognize a V-Beam that I can see.  I need to determine the Sx and Ix of these.  If I must, I'll assume L1x1x1/8 T&B flanges.  But, I'd rather not make assumptions.

Can anyone help?

Thank you!
