simmetry in patran
simmetry in patran
(OP)
Hi everyone
please help me, I'm novice in using patran and I'm not been able to discover how to use simetry in a simulation.
In marc I used to define the problem as axialsimetric or I defined a plane as plane of simmetry but in patran I'm not able to.
I thank's you in advance
Best regards

RE: simmetry in patran
If you are using Marc, all you need to do in atran is to keep your geometry in X-Y space (Z=0 everywhere) and keep the X axis as your axisymmetry axis, that is all. Also, all the normals of the shell elements must be in the positive Z direction.
