If cold-forming fittings to this specification what heat treatment is required after forming. Is stress relieving enough or do the formed fittings have to be normalised?

RE: ASTM A 420 / A 420M - WPL6

According to specification ASTM A 420, fittings that are welded must be post weld heat treated in accordance with Table 3, otherwise the fittings must be supplied in a normalized, normalized and tempered, annealed, or quenched and tempered condition.

If the fittings are cold-formed, I would recommend a stress relief following the guidelines of Table 3 for post weld heat treatment.
